I can’t believe I have only made this dessert once before: the Tarte Tatin. All you need are a few delicious apples, butter, sugar and – for the quick-hack version – some frozen puff pastry. You don’t even need a recipe (the one in my first try was kind of weird anyway). Still here’s what I did:

It would have been wise to fully use the automatic system and refrain from modifying stuff somewhere deep inside the generated results and thus undermining the automatics.

Naturally this stumbling happened just after me saying “Oh I think I have finally worked out how system XYZ …”
So my new linux distribution (ubuntu in case I had not mentionned) does not install sshd by default. It took me just about half an hour to realize that one.

Or rather scared cooking? There are some things that I have never tried and it scares me to just think of cooking them. Yesterday I prepared for a most dangerous undertaking … my first ever try to prepare a big roast that was not a chicken. Somehow I never got around to taking a big lump of meat and … do anything but cut it to pieces for some kind of stew.
There are other scary things like preparing any kind of bread dough … but preparing a big roast is right on top of the scariness scale.
Not only did I finally dare to try make a nice pork roast … I went ahead and did it without recipe as well … so here comes my personal recipe.
